Yes, a PCMB student can study B.E. Computer Science engineering. Its totally depends on your interest. If you have interest in coding/programming, then you can go for it. Just you have to study hard, and do lot of practices etc.

I was also a PCMB Student, and Now I'm studying Computer science engineering, I'm in third year now.

Just like you, I had no idea about coding, programming,  all I have to do was to study and practice day after day.

If this is your point of interest, surely go for it.

Did u had any interest in CS while studying 12th PCMB? What inspired you to pursue BE CSE? How did you start having interest towards CS? How are u doing your studies? Is it tough being a non CS student in 12th? Thank You for replying. Sorry If I'm asking something wrong.

Truly, I didn't have any interest in pursing cse, Always I wanted to be a civil engg. But in the counselling I got cse, as I had given some choices of cse also.
Really my teachers are very much helpful. After getting some knowledge about C programming, I started searching for more programs in google. Watched videos in you tube. It was a bit difficult to compete with the students who already have knowledge about programming in the first year, but now it's okay. If you get some knowledge about C programming, which is the basic, other programming languages will be easy to you.

Hello!

Do not choose a field only because it is trending and has more scope, but choose a field that you are passionate about, because you need to understand that you will be spending time on it or giving time to it, and if you don't enjoy what you are doing, it becomes sad and depressing.

About not knowing coding, as long as you like building logic and are ready to learn new things, programming should not be a problem.

Hello Nithish,

Yes, since you have PCM in your 12th examination, you can go for computer science engineering. Although, they will consider your PCM marks as your score in the competitive exam. Taking computer science in class 12th builds a foundation for the degree you are going to take. But since you are a PCMB student, you can try to build your foundation by opting for side courses involving coding, C++ or Java.

All the Best!
