Yes, definitely if a student is able, hard working and intelligent he can score 600+  by doing self preparation. If one has proper study material and consistent with his study one can score good rank in neet exam.

The strategy may varies for individual to individual. You should prepare a time table for your studies. Practing the question after understanding the topics are also important. Read and understand ncert books carefully. Beside ncert you should use 1-2 good objective booms for each subjects to  practice. One can also join mock test like that of careers360 mock test (neet knockout program).You should do the revision timely because revision is very important in keeping in mind what has learned before. Also try to use mnemonics for remembering complex information.
