Can a student appear for gate in aerospace while he have btech in mechanical
dear candidate,
this is the most attractive part of GATE where a student is free to opt any other stream though they have not studied it in the bachelor’s programs. Many students get bored with their current stream of studies. It is often found that students of electrical engineering want to switch to IT or instrumentation engineering. Again, there are some students who find it hard to crack the subject only after getting admission. In all these situations, GATE offers a scope to change the stream and select the other that seems more interesting or rather easy to the students.
Yeah definitely GATE provides you the opportunity to revert your branch which writing the gate entrance exam. That doesn't matter in which branch you have studied , in whichever branch you can write the paper you have the opportunity to write in that only. So, try to improve your knowledge under Aerospace engineering such that you can be able to crack the GATE with a good AIR.
All the best
