either of parent's was domiciled in the state of Karnataka , such candidate should have passed the qualifying examination from a University or Board or any other Institution located outside Karnataka and should be residing outside the State of Karnataka as on 1st May of 2010.

Domicile certificate in Karnataka can be attained by those, whose parents and guardian are the permanent resident or living for more than 6 years in the state. The Domicile certificate is issued by the Revenue Department Officer under the Taluk Office, it is the concerned department of the domicile certificate in Karnataka.
Obtain a Domicile or Residence Certificate
Eligibility
Only those applicants are eligible for obtaining the Domicile certificate in Karnataka who are the permanent resident or living for more than 6 years in the state.
Instructions
The Domicile certificate is issued by the Revenue Department Officer under the Taluk Office, it is the concerned department of the domicile certificate in Karnataka.
NOTE: Domicile Certificate can be made only in one State/UT. Obtaining Domicile Certificate from more than one State/UT is an offence.

Procedure
- Download the application form and complete the form with required information.
- Submit the application form along with required documents to the Revenue Department Officer.
- After the submission of documents and application, you will receive the Domicile or Resident Certificate within 30 days of issuing date by the concerned authority.

- Photo copy of the Leaving Certificate
- Residential proofRation card,Voter ID,House tax,Tax receipt,Details or papers of the property which is owned by the applicant's parents or guardian.
- Birth Certificate
Note: - if the applicant's age is less than 18 years then domicile of father is compulsory.

fees for form is 45/- from setu, making affidavit is around 200
Validity
The validity period of this certificate has been enhanced to life long.

Processing time to issue the Domicile / Resident certificate is 7 days.
