can a student from camellia school of engineering and technology give GATE exam from electrical branch? it is AICTE approved but not UGC.

One of the eligibility criteria for GATE says that:
The candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies must ensure that those examinations conducted by the societies are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Planning, etc.
Meaning, you are eligible to appear for GATE examination as your college is AICTE approved.

Yes , a student can appear for GATE exam if he/she has pursued Engineering from Camelia School of Engineering and Technology .
As per the GATE 2022 eligibility criteria , anyone who are currently in 3rd or higher degree in B.Tech in any Govt approved Institution . So, as your preferred institute is AICTE approved , so students of this college are eligible for GATE exam.
