Thank you Darshit for a detailed answer.  Eligibility as per your pt no 1 & 3 is clear.  and i am meeting the same.  for point no 4, my birth place is Gujarat, but fathers job is in TamilNadu and its a pvt job; not central govt or any such job.  i do not have Domicle certificate of Gujarat.  hence the pt 4 is not applicable for me.  for point 2, for CBSE students appearing in 10+2 HSC exam from CBSE school in Chennai, TamilNadu -- am i eligible for GUJCET 2018 ?  when we read the booket released today (23/March/18), this clarity is missing.  hence, the question.

By the way I have seen what documents required for applications form.
There no no mention of any requirement of father job/business.
So without hesitation you can apply for it.

Thank you Ambika for the quick response.  the question is based on the eligibility criteria published in the Gujcet 2018 information bulletin today.  under the point no 2.7 (ii) at page no 5 of the bulletin, the CBSE students of recognized schools situated in Gujarat can only appear.  there is no clarity on whether the student studying in CBSE school in other state are also eligible.  can you please check again and let me know.  thanks.

Hello Mihir

As per guidelines of GUJCET apart from students studying from Gujarat education board only CBSE Delhi students can apply.
According to me you are not eligible.

Best of luck

Noted, Ms Ambika.  but then, if you refer to Apendix 3 on page 63, the code no of various state boards are provided which are to be used while filling up the form.  why are these provided if only Gujarat state students are eligible ?further, in the point 2.7 (v) it refers to other candidates as per the admission rules of JACPC.  what are these rules ?

Ms Ambika, sorry, if i am bothering you with too many questions.  but i am keen to get admision in good engineering institute in Gujarat since its our home state and there are good institutes to study there.  hence, i am keen to clear Gujcet and am preparing for the same too.  but the information boolet today does not provide clarity whether i am eligible or not.  hence, these questions.  request you to kindly get me a correct answer.  thank you so much.

thank you, Ms Ambika for your reply.  from some of the responses, i gather that there is no mention of non-eligibility for appearing for the exam.  however, Domicile certificate requirement seems to be a must criteria for admission.
