can a student with a score of 85 in jee advanced get into iist?

Being in general category it would be difficult if the students have done well this year.

Hi,
It depends on your reservation category and admission rank. Admission rank will be given by IIST based on scores obtained by applicants in JEE advanced. Based on admission rank list generated by IIST you are invited for counscelling.
