Can an B.Tech Aerospace Graduate get admission in ME CSE through TANCET?
TANCET 2019 - Anna University will be conducting TANCET 2019 for M.Tech/M.E admissions into the participating institutes. Registrations for TANCET 2019 will commence tentatively in the first week of April. Candidates will be required to fill and submit the application form of TANCET 2019 tentatively in the third week of April. TANCET 2019 will be conducted in offline mode for all registered candidates. The examination will consist of three parts - Part I and II will be compulsory while Part III will be based on the discipline selected by the candidates while filling the application form. Direct admissions are also offered to GATE qualified candidates, however, if they have qualified XE or XL papers then they will have to attempt TANCET 2019. The counselling for TANCET and GATE qualified candidates will be done through TANCA 2019.
As per your question, according to eligibility criteria,a candidate can apply for ME in a paetipar field only if he hold BE/B.Tech in that relevant field.From Aerospace,you will not be able to apply for CSE.

Domicile - The candidate should belong to Tamil Nadu. Other State candidates will also be eligible for admissions, however, the eligibility conditions will be specified by the admitting authority/University.

Academic Requirements - Candidates should have qualified B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch in their relevant discipline OR completed Master’s degree in the relevant branch of Science OR 10+2+AMIE* or 10+3 years of diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education + AMIE*.

Qualifying Marks - General/OBC candidates will be required to score 50% in their 10+2th qualifying examination whereas for SC/ST category candidates, the qualifying marks in 45%.

GATE - Those candidates who qualify and secure valid GATE scores in the session of 2017/2018/2019 will be able to apply for admissions through TANCET. However, those candidates who have passed GATE examination in XE or XL papers will be required to attempt the TANCET 2019 examination.
