Eligibility =Only those candidates who belong to OBCs so specified in relation to the State/UT to which the applicant actually belongs, i.e. permanently settled and who have passed the Matriculation or Higher secondary or any higher examination of a recognized University or Board of Secondary Education will be eligible .

Post-Matric Scholarship to the OBC Students :
The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the OBC students studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.
The rates under different Post-Matric Courses ranges between Rs. 750 per month and Rs. 260 per month for hostellers.
Scholarship also include study tour charges at Rs. 900 per annum (subject to actual expenditure), Thesis typing and printing charges at Rs. 1000 (maximum), Book allowance for correspondence course at Rs. 900 per annum and Reader charges for blind students in the range between Rs. 90 per month to Rs. 175 per month.
Eligibility :

Be studying in Class 11 or above (pursuing recognised post-matric and post-secondary courses)
- Have an annual family income not exceeding INR 1.5 lakh

The scholarships will be open to India nationals belonging to OBCs as notified by the Central Govt./State Govt. or UT Administration.

Have passed matriculation or higher secondary examination from a recognised university or board

Students studying through correspondence courses employed students on leave without pay for the entire duration of a full-time course

Students pursuing postgraduate courses in medicine if only they are not allowed to practice during the period of their course
Note that : These scholarships will be given for the study of all recognized post-matriculation or post-secondary courses pursued in recognized institutions
