First of all it will prove very fruitful to you if you start preparing for cat that early. So, CAT consists of 3 sections mainly which are quantitative ability, verbal ability and reading comprehension and logical ability. Being a maths student Quant is going to be pretty easy for you. For english i.e. verbal ability and reading comprehension you need to read more and solve questiond related to vocabulary,decision making, reading comprehension, sentence correction, jumbled sentences, etc. You will have to read books of different genres to increase your reading speed well as comprehension skills. Moreover, it will build your vocabulary also. Go for good authors such as agatha christie, P.G. Wodehouse, etc. Read newspapers on a regular basis such as times of india. You can also read magazines such as the economist, sports star, etc. according to your area of interest. For logical ability you need to solve a lot of puzzles.
