Can anyone please give me the meaning of categories shown in the cutoff document od Karnataka Counselling? What do 1G, GMR, 2AG actually mean? I am enquiring for a friend who wants to take admission in a Karnataka medical college.

ReplyMy friends has 1G category and I have 2AG category. We both applied same College and department, got placed. But fees of 2AG Category is two times higher than 1G Category. My understanding is 2AG is lower income category where fee's should be lesser than 1G category. Could you please let us, is that correct. Please note, my rank is under 6K ( 2AG category) and my friend rank is under 10K(1G category). I am bit confused, could you please enlighten us.
