hi shahida, you still have 5 months time and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare
physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too, good luck
Physics is very conceptual subject and unless you regularly practice numericals it is very difficult to score in the MCQs on the subject especially in a time bound mcq examination like neet
Regarding books a book like Irodov will give you good concepts while and SL Arora or HC Verma will make vast concepts presented to you in a concise manner
The choice of book is up to you and you may also choose to off for NCERT study materials provided by Aakash or Allen which also present to you what you need to know from all the chapters of Physics in a very concise manner
However the key to understanding and performing well in physics is making your own notes especially on the difficult topics of mechanics optics, electromagnetism and current electricity as well as practicing the circuit diagrams including inductance and capacitance in modern physics
Once you are prepared with the formula across all the chapters and their basic applications you should be solving as many MCQs as possible and when you think that you are proficient in solving MCQ in physics you should be trying to give mock examinations which include questions on all chapters across the three subjects
Facebook not only help you with the time management and questions selection skill but also help you in minimising your negative marking and maximizing your achieve marks from any MCQ paper like the Neet examination
Hope the strategy helps thank you
Hi ShahidaMir
Here are the way how you can start studying smartly for
Physics
- Introspect yourself :- make a checklist that what you know already and what you have to know for the NEET. Go through the syllabus once and check your level, that from where you have to start.
- Plan the Journey :- After Introspecting, Start from the very basic and plan out the journey for the whole syllabus a set some deadline for yourself so that you can progress in a pre defined manner.
- Never Give Up :- It is the golden rule to achieve the goal. Build up yourself and your confidence not to give up even in the hardest situation. THink positive, talk to positive people, ask queries, make mistakes and learn from all these things. Stand by your decision and motivate yourself time to time.
Here are Some GOLDEN tips for the preparation of NEET
- Firstly, gather all the details about the officially prescribed syllabus for the examination.
- Make a proper time-table for your preparations.
- Follow the time table strictly and increase your potential day by day.
- Consider the good preparation books and study materials.
- Practice mock test & previous year question papers.
- Make mistakes while practising, and correct them and never repeat the same mistake.
- Never give up even at your low time.
- Stay stress free & healthy while preparing for exams.
- Don’t try to include new topics at the end of preparations.
All the best
All you need is good guidance to help you build your concepts and lots of practice from your side.
If you've joined a coaching institution for the same, ensure that you concentrate well on whatever is being taught in the classroom and complete reading whatever is taught in class that very day itself.
Practice MCQs, set a fixed time for it and see how well you're able to tackle questions in that set amount of time.
Clarify all your doubts with the help of your mentor.
Whenever you appear for an institute level examinations, whatever mistakes you make, keep a note of that and try not to repeat them again in subsequent examinations.
Practice previously asked questions as well as they will give you a rough idea regarding the kind of questions that are asked and how well you're supposed to prepare for the same. You can follow Arihant publications or MTG publications for the same.
More importantly, have faith in your efforts and believe in the fact that whatever you do will take you a step closer towards your target.
Physics is a about practice, keep doing more numerical ask your professor doubts and try understanding the concepts.
Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.
Try to clock 100 hours a week.
Maintain your health
Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.
Form a study group, discuss with friends
Stay motivated.
No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.
Donot waste time, invest time.
Revisions are the most important
It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.
The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,
For biology, refer the following.
1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2
2) Dinesh- Objective biology
3) Pradeep publication Biology
4) GRB'S Publication Biology.
For Physics refer to he following books.
1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.
2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.
3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker
4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov
For chemistry you can refer the following books
1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry
2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry
3) Modern ABC's of chemistry
4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry
5) Dinesh
Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.
In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts
Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.
Hope this helps.
Goodluck!
Hi, As per your query about preparation of Physics for NEET UG entrance exam, I would like to suggest following tips
1.Make your own study plan and follow it properly with dedication and PATIENCE....
2. Devote most of time say 80 % in NEET preparation and 20 % in board exam preparation
3. Practice MCQS on daily basis
4. Correct your mistakes
Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as these books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information.
KEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE = Medical SEAT Apart from this, you can add upon it by following books
BOOKS -
Concept of physics by H C Verma
Fundamental of Physic by Pradeep
Objective physics by DC Pandey
BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU HAVE TO CLEAR ENTRANCE YOU ARE NOT DOING PhD so dont go by all books mentioned here and there
Important topics which cover about 70 % , around 30 - 32 ques/ each year for last 10 years out of a total of 45 ques/year
Kinematics
Motion Gravitation
Thermal Physics
Wave Motion and Doppler's effect
Electrostatic
Current Electricity & Effect of Current
Magnetic Effect of Current and Magnetism
Ray optics and Optical Instruments
Modern Physics
Semiconductors and Digital Electronics
