Hello,

To become a IAS officer you need to give the civil services exam conducted by UPSC. You should start with subjects like geography, current affairs, economics etc. because you can easily remember these subjects. Don't start with history, because you would forget them in some days. And make a fix schedule for studies.

The list of books are -

  • History

Indian struggle for independence - Bipin Chandra

Facets of indian culture - spectrum

NCERT 11&12th

  • Geography

Certificate physical Geography- G C Leong

NCERT 6-12th

World Atlas

  • Indian Politics

Indian Polity- M Lakshmikanth

NCERT 10-12th

  • Economics

Indian Economy by Ramesh Singh

Economic development and policies in India- Jain

NCERT 11th
