can anyone please write the chemical equation in which Cl_2(gas) is obtained from HCl(Dilute)..please remember that HCl is dilute..

Hi aspirant,

When 2 moles of Dilute HCl is heated, one mole each of H2 and Cl2 gases are obtained.

2HCl--- H2 + Cl2.

This can be represented for one mole of HCl gas as well but getting half moles of products is not justified in practical manner.
