After jee advanced results the seats in iit, nits, iiits, and gftis is given by the JOINT DEAR ALLOCATION BOARD ( JoSSA).
JOSSA 2020 is responsible for conducting the seven round counseling for students so as to get admission is different iits, nits, iiits, or gftis for session 2020 - 21.
The registration of jossa counseling will begin on 6th October 2020.
Any student who have given jee mains can sit is jossa counseling and try their luck for seats in iits, nits, iiits, or gftis during seven rounds.
It doesn't matter that you have qualified jee mains or not, if you have given jee mains, then you ae eligible to sit in jossa counseling. For registering in jossa counseling you don't have to pay any fees.
If you get a seat in jossa counseling and you accept it then you have to give only the seat acceptance fees of around Rs 45000. And after that you have to go to the allotted reporting centre for confirming your alloted seat.
Now, if some seats still remains vacant in nits or gftis after all seven rounds of jossa counseling, then the CENTRAL SEAT ALLOCATION BOARD ( CSAB ) is responsible to conduct special two round counseling for filling of the vacancy of seats in different nits or gftis.
If you do not get any seat in jossa counseling then you can apply at csab round counseling.
For participating in csab counseling you have to give a participation fees of around Rs 35000.
And after that, if you get any seat in csab round then again you have to give the seat acceptance fees of around Rs 36500.
And after that report to the allotted reporting centre to confirm your seat.
