Can anyone tell me about difeerence between B.E & B.tech
Hello Siddhant
Difference between BE and B.Tech
Bachelor of Engineering
- B.E. is considered as knowledge-oriented course.
- More emphasis is laid on theory and focuses on strong fundamentals.
- Being more knowledge oriented, course curriculum is updated but not as frequent as the other.
- Internships and industrial visits may be an essential part of the curriculum.
- Generally, universities offering other degrees (like science, arts, education etc.) along with engineering named their engineering degree as B.E.
- Some of the popular colleges are NSIT, BITS-Pilani, Anna University Chennai etc.
Bachelor of Technology
- B. Tech is considered as skill-oriented course.
- More emphasis is laid on practical applications rather than theoretical aspects
- Being technology oriented, course curriculum is considered as more upto date
- Internships and industrial visits are a mandatory part of the curriculum.
- Generally, institutes (including IITs) offering only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech.
- Some of the popular colleges are IITs, NITs, DTU etc.
Hope it helps.
