KVPY or Kishore Vaignanik Protsaahan Yojana is a nation wide program, an initiative by the government of India. The KVPY exam is conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore every year. The program specially is for those students who are willing to pursue Basic Science (B.Sc)courses. It is a scholarship based program and offers scholarships for the selected students upto Post graduation. Candidates who clear KVPY can avail scholarship as well as seek admission in one of the most prestigious institutions like IISc and IISERs.

There are 3 streams in exam : SA, SX and SB. SA is for those students who are studying in 11th, SX for those in 12th and SB for students doing first year B.Sc degree. This dvision is done based on the syllabus that will be asked in the exam.If you clear the written test round then you will be eligible for interview. Considering your performance in both you will be selected.
