Graduates' Pharmacy Aptitute Test (GPAT) is conducted by National Testing Agency, all over India, typically in the month of January every year. Through GPAT, one can get scholarship from Government of India to pursue further studies from reputed Pharmacy Institutes, all over India as well as can get qualified to write NIPER-JEE, to make there way to NIPER (India's best chain of Pharmacy Colleges and Research Institutes.)
In GPAT, one should have clear knowledge on all the subjects taught in B.Pharm, although the subjects which need special attention are Pharmaceutics and related subjects (Dispensing Pharmacy, Physical Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Novel Drug Delivery System, Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence), Pharmacology, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry (e specially Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Instrumental Methods of Analysis and Medicinal Chemistry).
Minor papers to be focused on are Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Pathophysiology.
