B.A.M.S graduates are allowed to perform abscess draining,minor OT procedures of suturing,surgical excision of fistula-in-ano,hemorrhoids etc. However they cannot proceed with other major surgeries.

As per norms of CCIM, Ministry of Health,and are legally allowed to conduct minor surgeries according to the training received. An M.D in Salyathanthra is required to perform surgeries in which they are meticulously trained.

No, BAMS doctors can't do surgery they can only assist the surgeon.
