can bcom general students do mca
Hi Diwakar,
You had Mathematics in 10+2 or in graduation?
If 'Yes' then you can do MCA even after BCom after passing the entrance exam or being in merit list of the college which offers MCA course.
But let me clear you that that it depends on college to college, some college ask for Mathematics in both 10+2 and Graduation whereas there are also some colleges that give admission if student had Math in either 10+2 or Graduation.
There are also some colleges that offers admission if students had Math neither in 10+2 or Graduation but for you have to pass a entrance exam to prove your basic knowledge.

Hello Diwakar,
To get admission into Master of Computer Applications (MCA) you require Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the compulsory subject in your 10+2. If you have Mathematics in 10+2 then you are eligible to pursue though you have completed your Undergraduation degree in B.Com. But the eligibility criteria differs from College to College.
Most of the Colleges prefer students with atleast 50 percentage in BCA/ B.Sc. / BIT / B.Sc. (Hons)/ B.Com or equivalent exam in undergraduation degree with minimum 3 years of course duration from a recognized University.
