Can bramhins apply for linguistic minority if mother tongue is telugu?

Dear Ramya, linguistic minority is of those people whose mother tongue is different from that of the majority of the State or a part of the State. Going by the definition, Brahmins do not come under the Linguistic Minority section. Brahminism is a Caste and Linguistic minoritu is not set by a caste.
