Candidate holding B.Sc. Chemistry degree can appear for the IIT JAM .
There is also no age limit for the exam but only candidates scoring minimum 55% (for general and OBC category) and 50% ( for SC /ST category) in bachelor's degree are eligible for IIT JAM.

The minimum required percentage for the GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates is 55% or 5.5 CGPA out of 10.
