can candidate of reserved category get mbbs seat under open cstegory
Dear candidate
Yes you can get seat through open category if you are candidate of reserved category also. You should just apply your COUNSELING through the general category. General category is also known as open category. The students who take admission under this category can belong to any caste and they are awarded only on the basis of merit. So, not only general castes, but OBC SC ST students, if they get good ranks can take seat under General category. You category seat will be awarded to same category students only. Sometimes a candidate loose their caste certificate so they apply through general category and they can also get seat same seat through the general category. But from my suggestion you should apply through your respective category because you will took a seat of open category and you will offer a seat in your category which cut-off are usually low. So a genuine open category students may loose seat to a less merit student in your category.
