Hi

No, after Bsc cardiology you cannot become a cardiology  doctor i. e a cardiologist

This is because,

Bsc cardiology is just a paramedical , after Bsc cardiology you can just assist doctors, you can't be doctor yourself with bsc cardiology degree.

To become a cardiologist , you need to do mbbs followed by Ms/md cardiology.

Here's how you can become a cardiologist i. e a cardiology doctor.

------------------) First of all you need to do mbbs, so appear in Neet examination

  • To be eligible you need to pass 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology /biotechnology in 12th examination  if belongs to general category , or   at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category. You can get complete eligibility criteria at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-eligibility-criteria

------------------) Qualify neet examination. Qualifying cut off in neet is given below

  • General :- 50th Percentile

  • OBC:-  40th Percentile

  • SC :-40th Percentile

  • ST :-  40th percentile

To be on the safer side, out of 720 marks, target at least around 580 -600 marks for state quota mbbs seats and 650 marks in neet for All india quota mbbs seats if you belong to general category to get a seat in a Government Medical College

------------------) Participate in neet counselling. There are 2 counsellings -

  • Mcc counselling :- It is conducted for 15% AIQ seats, 100% Deemed Universities seats, Central Universities  seats (Delhi University, AMU & BHU ), 100% ESIC seats , AFMC  seats (only Registration Part) & I.P University (VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML & ESIC Dental, Delhi ,100% AIIMS seats & 100% JIPMER seats

Detailed information about counselling is available at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-seat-allotment

------------------) In the counselling, you can get a seat in a college on the basis of your rank in NEET examination and the category you belong to .

------------------) Then you have to report to the college and get your documents verified.

------------------)  After document verification, finally you get admission in mbbs in college

------------------)  Pursue your mbbs which is a 5.5 year long course in which the last 1 year consists of internship

----------------------------------) After MBBS , give PG entrance examinations  & qualify it.

------------------) Participating in counselling

------------------) in the counselling on the basis of your rank in the PG entrance examination you will be allotted a college for MD /MS cardiology

------------------) Finally report to the alloted college, get admission and pursue it and after the completion of MD /MS cardiology , you can practice as a cardiologist.
