Hello

If you are still in class 12 then you are not eligible for SSC CHSL Examination .

To be eligible for it you need to be at least appearing for 12th board examination or should have already passed it.

Also,

it doesn't matter at all even if you are a Biology student and you don't have maths, you will be still eligible for SSC CHSL in your class 12 the board examination appearing year or after  passing class 12 th .

But yes,

Being a Biology student without maths you won't be eligible for DEOs in C&AG

For your reference,

The eligibility criteria of SSC CHSL is provided below :-

----------------) Educational qualification :

  • For the post of LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO i. e for the posts other than DEOs in C&AG , you must have passed 12th or equivalent in any stream from a recognised Board.

  • For DEOs in C&AG , you must pass 12th in science stream with math .

††† 12th board examination appearing students are also provisionally eligible

----------------) Minimum age limit :- to be eligible minimum age should be 18 years as on 1st january of the year of the exam.

----------------) Maximum age limit :- maximum age should be 27 years as on 1st january of the year of exam, there's 3 year relaxation on upper age limit for obc and of 5 years for sc/st category.

You have asked too many questions in a single question so forgot to answer the process and preparation time part.
Anyway,
There's no particular time, it's not a course of a particular duration, rather it's just an examination. Anyway, In general 6-12 months of preparation is enough to clear SSC Chsl if you prepare with consistency.
There's no process as such , just fill SSC chsl application form in the year you want to appear in, it gets released every year, appear in examination, qualify it, that's it
