Yes offcourse ..why not.SOFTARE jobs can be grasped by any of the branches ryt from IT/CSE to ELECTRICAL,MECHANICAL.Infact most the IT proffessionals doing job in big MNCS’S are non IT/CSE guys.Once you stepped into these companies you will be able to learn the process and way of operation .You will be trained in their training programmes so dont worry about that.Its hardly a matter of 3 to 4 months to learn these things for a decent beginning.
However prior to joining any firm you may carry out learning some computer langauages like most important and basic is C.If you are sound in this language it will hardly take your labour to learn other computer langauges like JAVA,C++,PYTHON.
And we all knw time and experience will teach you manythings.
