Can I add ip marks in best of four subjects for taking admission in ba honours in delhi university?

Hi Rashi!
According to the university guidelines, only those subjects which are mentioned in the list A will be considered for best of 4 marks calculation. And if a student desires to include such a subject for the best 4 of marks calculation which is not mentioned in list A, then an additional deduction of 2.5% from the best of 4 would be made.
As far as IP is concerned, it is not included in list A. So at first instance, IP's marks will not be considered for best 4 calculation but if you insist, they will consider it but they will deduct 2.5% from your overall best of 4 percentage.
Only those students who are going to take admission in B.Sc. Computer science can include IP's marks for best 4 calculation without any deduction.
But this guideline is not followed uniformly in every colleges. In some colleges you will see that this guideline is followed very accurately while in some other colleges you might see that IP marks are not at all included how much ever you insist the authorities to do so. Then there are colleges where they will add your IP marks without making any deductions at all! So it depends upon colleges to colleges and also on the fact that how seriously and precisely one has read the prospectus. You can challenge the authorities any time during the admission procedure if you feel that they are not acting according to the guidelines as mentioned by the University in its prospectus.
So as of now just keep in mind that you will face a disadvantage of 2.5% in your best of four percentage if you include your IP marks .
Similarly, there are different guidelines regarding other subjects like music, physical education etc clearly laid down in the prospectus. Hence I would suggest you to go through the prospectus once. You'll get everything clear.
NOTE :- Yes for Programme courses your IP marks would be added without any deductions.
I hope this elaborate answer helps you understand.
Good Luck!
