Anna University takes admission on the basis of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA). The application process starts from May 2 and the last date to register is May 31 in the year 2019. There are criterias of domicile in TNEA:
1. Candidates who have belong to Tamil Nadu and have completed 10+2 from Tamil Nadu.
2. Candidate who belong to Tamil Nadu, but completed 10+2 from other state can also apply. They'll need to produce nativity documentation.
3. Those who don't belong to Tamil Nadu but have completed 10+2 in Tamil Nadu are eligible.
4. Candidates who are the children of employees working for the Central Government can also apply.
5. Children of All India Service Tamil Nadu Cadre officers are also eligible for TNEA.
If you satisfy any of the above criterias, you'll be eligible to apply for TNEA. The cut offs are usually in the range of 94 to 99 percent, so there's a long shot.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
