Hi student,

Yes,it is possible for you to apply for btech without jee exams. But if you want to apply for well reputed colleges and also government aided colleges,it is better for you to take the jee exam.

All the best

Hi Monika,

You can definitely go for btech without giving your jee examination.this is called direct admission in the college. Some colleges have a basic criteria for jee mains score but many colleges take direct admission on the basis of the score in the test that they themselves take when youll go to them for the admission .except iits and niits you can go for direct admission . And there are a number of colleges in India you have ample of options to you for direct admission too.

Thank you .

Yes, India is full of colleges that do not ask for jee exam.

Apply but if you can crack jee then better to go for IIT and NIT first.

The candidates are majorly concerned with Age Limit, Education Qualification, Number of Attempts and one must ensure complete eligibility before appkying for the exam as there are only 3 attempts for the JEE Main exam. The eligibility criteria as per CBSE is as follows-

Age Limit- The age limit to appear in JEE Main 2018-

The candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1993.

There is age relaxation for SC, ST, PWD candidates of 5 years is applicable.

2. Year of Passing the Qualifying Examination –

Hi Monika

Most of the top engineering institutions in India like Indian Institute of Technology, National Institute of Technology, IIIT and other government engineering college take admission on the basis of marks and ranks secured in the Joint Entrance Examination.

There are several private institutes which conduct their own entrance exam like SRM, BITS Pilani, Vellore Institute of Technology etc.

Now other than these, there are so many private engineering college that offers bachelor of engineering or technology in several disciplines. Frankly speaking, in last 5 years the number of engineering institution has increased to larger extent such that their seats remain vacant.

So there is nothing to worry, you can get admission in Bachelor of technology even if you have not appeared in Joint Entrance examination, you can get admission on the basis of percentage of marks scored in PCM and 10+2 board exam.

There are 15% seats in private engineering colleges which comes under management quota to which direct admission is done. So if you have good percentage of marks in 10+2 board exam, you can get direct admission in many private engineering colleges.

There are so many colleges in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, South India which offers direct admission to bachelor of technology. You can visit any of the private college of these states and know about further admission procedure.
