Yes , you can apply for gate any time and how much course you do , you can do masters or psu job from gate ,
There is no age limit for gate.
Candidates must have passed graduation in engineering/technology or Masters degree in any relevant science subject.
Indian nationality candidates will be eligible.

Mentioned below are the eligibility details for GATE:
- There is no age limit for applying for GATE.
- The candidates who are currently in the third year or higher grade or completed undergraduate course like bsc post basic bsc integrated masters degree program in engineering and technology are considered eligible to apply for GATE exam.
