Once you are selected for NDA you have to undergo training for 3 years in NDA and then 1 year in the Indian Military ACademy (IMA) Dehradun, Air Force Academy (AFA) Dandigul or Indian Naval Academy(INA) Ezhimulla based on your choice of service.

During the 3 year training at NDA, you can complete your graduation in either Bsc(Chemistry), BCS or B.A(History). While joining you sign a bond stating that all admissions to other educational institutions have herby been nullified and that you will be a full time cadet at the National Defence ACademy. This bond will prohibit you from applying for the ITS.

Though if selected for NDA, I strongly recommend you to join!
