Hey!
Lateral entry helps a candidate to change its college or stream in the 2nd or 3rd year. Some colleges conduct their own lateral entry entrance exam for admission in 3rd or 5th semesters of different courses. If you want to take admission in first year in any course or college then you can directly apply for that or can write any entrance exam related to that, you do not need to apply through lateral entry. kinldy note, you must check the eleigibility criteria to get admission in that college before applying .
