COMEDK stands for CONSORTIUM OF MEDICAL, ENGINEERING, AND DENTAL COLLEGES OF KARNATAKA. UGET stands for UNDERGRADUATE ENTRANCE TEST.

COMEDK is only for Engineering/B.Arch students passed 10+2 with PCM as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50% in physics, chemistry, and maths each.

Before NEET, comedk use to conduct exams for both engineering as well as medical students. But now COMEDK UGET IS ONLY FOR ENGINEERING AND NOT FOR MEDICAL. As you are interested in medicine you can take up NEET to get admissions in medical colleges. Relevant information about NEET is shared below.

WHAT IS NEET?

• National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test , which is in short called as NEET. This is a National Entrance Examination which offers the student admission in various Medical and Dental Colleges.
• The Exam offers an approx. of 90,000 seats (approx) in MBBS and BDS Colleges in India.
• The Exam is conducted in the month of May every year.

What is its Eligibility Criteria?

• You need to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as their compulsory subjects in Class 10th and 12th and must have passed these subjects
• The Minimum Qualifying Percentage of Marks in Class 10th and 12th in these subjects varies from category to category. 50% for General Category, 45% for General-PH, 40% for SC/ST, and Reserved Category (Handicapped).
• Maths Marks are not considered in NEET Exam

Reservation of Seats

• 85% Seats are reserved for states counselling.
• 15% Seats are reserved for All India Counselling.

• BHU (Banaras Hindu University)
