In jee mains the maximum number of attempts allowed are three. You first attempt is counted as over in the year that you have passed your class 12th. After that you can maximum find into two attempts in next consecutive years.
Now, suppose you have passed that you have passed your class 12th in 2020. Then you can give jee mains 2020, jee mains 2021 and jee mains 2022
And you have given your first attempt of jee mains in 2020, then you can leave the jee mains 2021, and once again appear in 2022. Or you can directly give jee mains 2021 or you can directly give jee mains 2022.
But as your three years are over, counting from class 12th passing year, then you are not eligible to give jee mains exam.
So, you can attempt jee mains without consecutive attempts but the condition is that you have number of attempts Left in your hand.
But for jee advanced you are allowed to give only two consecutive attempts counted from the passing year of your class 12th.
