Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doin great. With regard to your question, YES, you can become a nurse, even after studying commerce in your 12th standard. You can purse the ANM and GNM professions. ANM refers to Auxiliary Nursing Midwife, whereas, GNM refers to General Nursing Midwife. The two are the diploma programmes.

Hope this helps,

Good luck, thank you :)

Dear student,

To become a Nurse you must have subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology in science stream in 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised Board or College to study B.Sc Nursing.

Courses like

Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery

General Nursing Midwifery, etc. are available for Arts and Commerce background students.

As you are Commerce student, you have the required subjects in your 10+2 or equivalent exam, so you are eligible for these courses as well as you become a village level Health Worker.

May this information was helpful to you.

Good Luck!!
