Can I change branch after 1st year of Btech in RV College of Engineering?

Yes it is certainly possible to change your branch after first year of BTech in RV College of Engineering but it is a very complex procedure. The process by which you can upgrade your seat is through branch migration program which is is held at the end of second semester. In this window seats for one or two percent of the total strength of the branch you are willing to to get into are made available. An application form would be released by the institution and all the students who are willing to get an upgrade are required to the fill the form and on the basis of merit they would be allotted a new seat. It is very important to note that the competition is very tough because everyone wants to get their branch upgraded and therefore you would need to keep your CGPA above 9.5 in order to achieve this.
