No you cannot change your branch to any other branch after Diploma in architecture. Since you have completed your diploma you will be admitted to direct second year of Engineering and you can only change your branch based on the results of first year of engineering .

Actually, It doesn't matter in what branch you have completed your diploma for some branches you can change but not all. If you are in 1st year of diploma then you can change in 2nd year of diploma .
