the option of branch is always available after your first year of Engineering but it is based on a given criteria. The branch change option is available to those who are match the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria is as follows,

• the candidate must complete in a single attempt all the prescribed credits of the first and second semester.
• candidate must obtain a cgpa of not less than 8.5 at the end of second semester in a single attempt only.

Also please note that, one you apply for a branch change you cannot withdraw the request and no counselling will be provided for branch change.

Yes it is possible to change branch after completion of first year but there is some eligibility criteria. The first is that you need to maintain good CGPA and fall under the top 3-4 students in your branch. Second is that the strength of your class should not fall below 10%. Lastly you should have a good record and good impressions without any bad remarks or complaints. Many students who qualified for this criterion have changed their branches.

According to your question, yes you can change your branch from any branch to your respective desired branch in NIT AP. But for applying branch change you need certain eligibility as put down by the college.

The required eligibilities are as follows :-

1. Completed in one go all the credits prescribed in the I year I and II semesters. 2. Obtained a CGPA of not less than 8.5 at the end of II Semester in single attempt only.

Yes. It is possible to change the branch at the end of first year. The curriculum for first year is common to all branches. At the end of first year, based on the performance in the first two semesters, students can opt for change of branch. But you have to secured good marks in the first two to get your desired  branch.
