Yes you can change the branch after 1st year as every university give chance to its students for branch changing however procedure for the same varies. First requirent is you have to score really good marks to be able to highlight your name in merit list. After that colleges give chance from first student till their seats get filled of respective departments.

Yes, every university and college have provided the option of “branch change”, for the students after passing first year , so that if any doubt still prevails in the mind of a student after taking admission in first year, he/she can then change his/her respective branch in second year.

The procedure for the branch change differs from university to university, but basically the procedure is that a minimum cut off is taken out for each branch and if adequate seats are available in that respective branch after applying for the branch change, then depending upon the number of applicants for the branch change , a final list will be taken out for each branch.

This will be probably the common procedure , but may differ in certain terms and conditions .

PS:- Score a good marks in first year as high as possible, then apply for change of branch option ,talked to your authority regarding this change of branch and finally you will an result notification of change of branch

Yes, there is a chance to change your branch in second year after full filling the following criteria:

1) score more than 85% in your first year.

2) if there would be vacant seats in your desired branch.
