Can I Change My Category From General To Ews In Last Attempt of JEE Main (Aug) . My Ews certificate will be available by 31 Aug.

Yes you can change your category from General to EWS for upcoming session of JEE-Main 2021. Now you have to upload self declaration for your category certificate which will state that you will submit your EWS certificate at the time of admission. As you can get your certificate by August 31st so you can definitely change it.

JEE-Main 2021 correction window is now live (https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/webinfo2021/Page/Page?PageId=1&LangId=P) and it will active only till August 11th 2021 so during this time period you can make some necessary corrections in your application form which you have submitted during the application process.

Note that you will not be allowed to edit all your details but only some details which are mentioned below :

> Change of examination center.

> Personal Details like spelling mistakes, in your name or your father's name or your mother's name.

> Information regarding the academic details like your class 10th details or class 12th details.

> Change of Paper will be allowed means the candidates will be allowed to change their choice of paper from Paper 1 to Paper 2 (and vice versa). Both papers can also be selected for which the candidates have to pay the balance fee.

> Language of Examination will also be allowed to be changed by the candidates within the list of available options.

> Name, State of Eligibility, and Date of Birth will also be open for correction during this correction window.

> The provision of changing categories selected by candidates in the application form is also provided to the candidates. If the candidates changed their category from general to reserved, then no refund of fees will be done. However, if the candidates change their category from reserved to general, then they have to pay the balance fee.

> You will also be allowed to remove any of your image discrepancy (if required) as per the prescribed criteria.
