Hi Madhulika!

Pursuing BA in Mass Communication from a reputed government institution is more desirable in terms of fee structure and also further career options.

You can opt for the course in SRM University as well if you have no option.

HI

Yes, you can if you have no other option, and No, if you can take admission in any of the top mass comm institutes. Every institutes has thr own entrance exam and further admissions criteria. Basically its and entrance exam and interview. This is quiet a standard procedure for both government and private mass comm institutions. I will suggest, if you can appear in  exams for top institutes and and take admission in them. Some of them are,

IIMC, FTII, XIC, Jamia Millia Islamia, ACJ, DU, Xaviers, Christ University, PUne university, Mumbai University.

If not in these, try Amity, Times Institute, Pioneer Institute, which basically are institutes runed by media giants.
