Hello,

Yes, you can switch from the state syllabus to CBSE for 11th standard after completing your 10th standard in the state syllabus. However, you will need to obtain a transfer certificate from your previous school and a migration certificate from the state board.

Additionally, you may need to provide an equivalence certificate from the CBSE board, which confirms that your 10th standard qualification from the state board is equivalent to the CBSE 10th standard. You should check with the CBSE school you wish to join for their specific requirements and procedures for admitting students from other boards.

Hello there,

Yes, you can pursue 11th grade in a CBSE school after completing your 10th in a state syllabus. Most CBSE schools accept students from different boards, provided they meet the school's admission criteria. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

  1. Eligibility : Ensure you have passed 10th grade and meet the required marks for the stream you wish to join.

  2. Documents Required :

    • 10th-grade marksheet
    • Transfer certificate (TC) from your previous school
    • Migration certificate (if moving from a state board to CBSE)
    • Character certificate
    • Birth certificate (if required)

  3. Admission Process :

    • Visit the CBSE school where you want admission and inquire about seat availability and criteria.

    • Fill out the admission form and submit the required documents.

  4. Bridge the Gap : Be prepared to adapt to CBSE’s curriculum, which may differ slightly from the state syllabus.

Early application increases your chances of securing admission.

Yes, you can switch to CBSE in class 11th after you 10th class from State board. CBSE is a well recognised board all over the country. CBSE board is more preferred by students over state boards as CBSE focuses more on conceptual understanding and critical thinking among students. But once you CBSE in class 11th , you need to follow same board for both 11 and 12th.

Yes, you can definitely do 11th in CBSE even if you completed your 10th standard with a state board syllabus; most schools allow students from different boards to join their 11th grade program, and you will need to take an entrance exam or sit for an assessment to gauge your preparedness for the CBSE curriculum.

If you're aiming to score high marks in JEE and NEET exam and don't mind mugging up you can consider CBSE board and if you would like to join government colleges, then choose State Board.

Yes, you may definitely do your 11th grade in a CBSE school even though you have done your 10th grade in a state board school.

Most of the CBSE schools accept students from other boards. You would need to meet their particular eligibility criteria and the procedures for taking admissions in that school you wish to opt for.

The following are some points that you should consider:

Syllabus: Syllabus of state boards is a bit different than that of CBSE. On the core aspect though, there is nothing different.
Admission Procedure: Every school has its own procedure for admitting. You will be required to submit your mark sheet of 10th, transfer certificate, and other documents. https://school.careers360.com/boards/cbse/cbse-syllabus-for-class-11
