Hello,

First of all it's important you get to know about law courses which are basically of two types; firstly integrated law courses for a duration of five years, it comes in various forms such as BA-LLB, BBA-LLB, BCom-LLB. BSc-LLB. BCA-LLB etc, for BA-LLB the eligibility criteria is passed 10+2 from a recognized board in any stream securing 45% aggregate, in case of other courses there may be subject/stream specific requirement which obviously vary as per college,

now if you wish to do BA-LLB then you need to meet the eligibility criteria as aforementioned you can explore complete details regarding this at https://www.careers360.com/courses/ba-llb-dual-degree

other than this if you meant that you want to pursue BA Program and LLB of three years duration at the same time, then the answer is NO, as the eligibility criteria of both courses are different the former is based on 10+2 educational qualifications while the latter is based on graduation, that is the eligibility criteria for LLB of three years is passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university securing 45%-50% aggregate,

whatever route you choose, whether doing BA-LLB after 12th or LLB after graduation, the opportunities in both cases remain the same, after completing your graduation course in law, you can enroll yourself as an advocate in a Bar Council for that you have to pass All India Bar Examination, those who clear AIBE are given 'Certificate of Practice' by the BCI which make them eligible to practice in court of law.

In addition to this, having practical experience in courts add a greater degree of value to one's growth in the career of law. By clearing exams conducted by Public Service Commissions, a law graduate can become a judge. After gaining experience, a law graduate can hope to become Solicitor General, a Public Prosecutor or offer services to government departments and ministries. Once you acquire an experience of minimum seven years as an advocate you can also appear for recruitment of Public Prosecutor by UPSC. Based on eligibility criteria of graduation you will be as eligible like any other graduate for government exams such as state PSCs, banking, insurance, SSC, CDS, Railways recruitment for graduates etc, there are also specialist posts for the domain of law in banking sector which you can apply apart from generalist posts.
