hi,

see mathematics is  an compulsory subject to study technology oriented course like B.E/ B.tech. however with out studying mathematics in 10+2 level may result to not eligible for many courses like b.e/ b.tech/ b.sc in biotechnology/ b.tech in biotechnology etc. so you must have studied physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subject in 12th course to become eligible for b.tech courses in any of the stream. biotechnology is an interdisciplinary stream and has wide areas of application.

hope it would help.

Hi,

For B.Tech in biotechnology, you need to do intermediate (10 + 2 ) with subjects such as Mathematics,  Physics , Biology and Chemistry. A student must have 50 % marks in their intermediate. So ideally, Yes , you need mathematics as it is a compulsory subject.

Hope that helps.
