Dear Aspirant
Engineering is not going to be easy for you because you have to study math for two years out of your four years in engineering that means 4 semester. After that there are many subject like signal and control system, mechanics etc which require strong knowledge of math. So it is going to be key subject. If you were to take my opinion then I would suggest you to clear your math paper in next year board exam and then take admission in engineering, otherwise your chances of getting back in first semester is more. So decide it based on my opinion.
Good luck for your future :)
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Hi Arko. You can't do engineering without passing in maths. But champ don't lose heart and fill in for improvement and score good marks next year. Also if you want you can prepare side by side for the jee as well.
Hello,
The admission in engineering depends on university rules or college rules. Some colleges dont have seperate passing criteria but some will demand 60/65% marks in PCM group for engineering.
Dear Aspirant,
You said that if you fail in mathematics in class 12 board examination but get 52 marks in physics and chemistry, can you do Engineering...
Yeah you can do Engineering (according to the rules of West Bengal Joint entrance examination).
You can get admission in a private Engineering College.
But sorry to say that you will be in trouble in your Engineering if you fail in mathematics in board exam.
Knowledge of mathematics is very much important in the field of engineering.
Best of luck.
No. It is compulsory to pass in both maths & Physics.
Candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and secured a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks (for General category) and at least 45% aggregate marks (for reserved/ backward category/ Persons with Disability) belonging to Maharashtra State only.
Thanku.
