First of all it's too good if you want to do preparation for IAS .So, Yes you can do IAS preparation , as it doesn't matter from which stream you belong . The only thing which matters is that you should be graduated from the stream of any field to be eligible for giving any civil service exams .
The minimum education qualification required for IAS exams is your graduation degree from a recognized college and your age should be at least 21 .
