Can I do masters in psychiatry (MD) after completing bachelors of occupational therapy (BOT)?

Dear Shreya, for MD in Psychiatry, you should have had a Medical degree like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, etc. But with BOT you cannot pursue MD in Psychiatry. You can pursue post graduation degree after BOT like M.Sc in Psychology and then opt for either a M.Phil or a Ph.D. Following this path, you will be called a Psychologist and not a Psychiatrist though.

Hello,
No, you need a medical degree like MBBS to pursue MD. However you are eligible for M.Sc Psychiatry.
M.Sc. Psychiatry is a 2-year full-time postgraduate course in Psychiatry science. The eligibility criteria for the program is passing B.Sc. in Psychiatry or equivalent examination with a minimum of 55% and above from a recognized university.
Admission to M.Sc. Psychiatry program is conducted on the basis of Merit. Furthermore, few of the reputed colleges and universities may conduct their own entrance examination for selection of candidates followed by counseling.
