In India, the minimum requirement will be a Recognized Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline with 50-55% marks (45-50% for reserved categories).
So If you belongs to reserved category then surely you can do with marks less than 50%.
Good Luck!
Priyanka inorder it pursue your respective MBA degree you should atleast have the aggregate score of 50% in your graduation such that you can be able to take the admission in any of the college / University for the MBA degree , and without that it might be harder for you to take the admission because without that none of the college might allows you. So better try to put focus on that area.
All the best
Hello Aspirant,
I am little afraid if MBA from a reputed Institute can be done with less than 50% marks. As bachelors degree from a recognized university with 50% Mark is the minimum criteria.
You may also crack the national level tests like CAT, XAT, GMAT, JMET and MAT or the like. If this is not cleared, then you can appear for the entrance examination of the university or college where you are seeking the admission.
Good Luck!
Hello Aspirant
I see that you have a query regarding MBA.
Firstly, a major requirement for MBA is a CAT Score.
CAT stands for Common Admission Test. The Common Admission Test is a computer based test held in India. The CAT question paper consists of 100 questions in MCQ format and also includes negative marking.
The test scores a candidate on the bases of Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning.
There is no prerequisite of a specific degree to take CAT exam. There is a certain eligibility criterion though -
· A CAT aspirant must be a Graduate with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent from a recognized university
· The CAT aspirant must have completed education up till Graduation in 10+2+3 mode
· Candidates in their final year of Graduation are also eligible to apply
Thus you can definitely apply for CAT and give the exam.
Since your graduation score is just on the edge, you have to work harder on your CAT percentile. Even if a student has a good percentile, it is not sure that the student might not get admission in top b-schools of the country.
Many institutions have their own exams even after the submission of CAT scores. If you score well on such exams and then confidently clear the personal interview, then your graduation score matters.
You might not be able to get admission in IIMS or top five b-schools, but you still have options to apply someplace else.
