One of the most popular courses after a BSc in Life Sciences in todays environment is to do a MSc in Biotechnology.
Jobs open are Medical Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology and Patents and Publication
PhD Biotechnology is a Doctorate course in Biotechnology which generally takes 3-5 years to complete.
A student who has completed Post Graduation in Biotechnology from a recognized University with minimum aggregate marks of 55% (for general category) or 50% (for SC, ST and OBC candidates) is eligible for this course.

In Biotechnology topics, you should stick to topics related with botany. Like plant biotechnology, agricultural biotechnology, medicinal plants, new plant breeding techniques, tissue culture advancement.
