Can i do Political science course in JNU without specialization in international studies ?

Jawaharlal Nehru University ( JNU ), one of the leading universities in the world, was established in the year 1969. The university is known for its leading faculties and research emphasis on liberal arts and applied sciences. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in the fields of Arts, Science, Computer Applications, Medical, Engineering, Law, Mass Communication, and Management.
Over the two years, students at the MA programme are supposed to take up 16 courses out of which 10 are compulsory. The ten compulsory can be classified under 3 broad rubrics:
- Political Theory and Philosophy
- Indian Government and Politics
- Comparative Politics and International Relations.
At the M.Phil/Ph.D. programme, students are offered 4 courses out of which 2 are compulsory. They are:
- Philosophy and Methods in Social Sciences
- Approaches, Concepts, and Methods of Political Analysis
